Privacy Policy
We collect what you give us — like your name, WhatsApp number and email — plus basic visit data. We use it to reply, run your audit and deliver our work. We never sell it, and you can ask us to see, fix or delete it at any time.
1. Who we are
Makhanchor Media (“Makhanchor”, “we”, “us”) is a performance marketing agency based in Bengaluru, India. This policy explains how we collect, use, share and protect personal data when you visit makhanchormedia.com, fill in a form, message us or work with us.
Address: Workflo Ranka Junction, Old Madras Road, K R Puram, Hobli, Vijnapura, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560016. GST No.: 29BMCPG1971P1ZK. Email: hi@makhanchormedia.com.
We handle personal data in line with India’s Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under it, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
2. What we collect
- Details you give us: your name, WhatsApp or phone number, email, business name, industry, monthly ad spend, and anything you write in a form, email or message.
- Visit data: your device and browser type, the pages you view, the site you came from, your approximate location based on your IP address, and campaign details such as UTM tags and ad click IDs (for example fbclid and gclid).
- Cookies and similar tools: we use tools such as the Meta Pixel and Google tags (Google Analytics and Google Ads) to measure visits and ad results. See “Cookies and tracking” below.
- Payment records: when you pay an invoice by bank transfer, we keep the payer’s name, the bank reference and the amount for our accounts and tax filings.
- Client project data: if you hire us, you may give us access to ad accounts, analytics, CRM, payment-gateway reports and lead lists. We use this data only to deliver our services to you, under our agreement with you.
We don’t ask for sensitive data — such as health details, bank or card numbers, or government ID — through this website. Please don’t send it to us.
3. How we use your data
- To reply to you, and to book and run your free Growth Audit.
- To send proposals, invoices and service updates.
- To deliver the services you hire us for — ads, scripts, creatives, funnels, follow-up, automations, tracking and reporting.
- To measure and improve our website and our own ads.
- To send you occasional updates about our services. You can opt out at any time.
- To meet our legal, tax and accounting duties, and to protect our rights.
4. Your consent
When you submit a form or message us, you agree that we may use your details for the purposes above. You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing hi@makhanchormedia.com. Withdrawing consent doesn’t undo what we did before, and we may still keep data the law requires us to keep.
5. WhatsApp, calls and email
By submitting a form, you agree that we may contact you on WhatsApp, by phone and by email about your enquiry or audit. To stop, reply “STOP” on WhatsApp or email us, and we’ll stop within a reasonable time.
6. Who we share it with
We never sell your personal data. We share it only with:
- Service providers that help us run our business — for example Google Workspace and Google Sheets, Meta, WhatsApp Business API providers, email tools, automation tools such as n8n, and website hosting. They may use your data only to provide their service to us.
- Our bank, to receive your payments and send any refunds.
- Ad platforms, in hashed or combined form, to measure and improve ad results (for example the Meta Conversions API or Google enhanced conversions).
- Authorities, when the law requires it, or to protect our legal rights.
- A buyer or successor, if our business is merged, sold or restructured. They must keep protecting your data under this policy.
7. Where your data is stored
Some of our providers store data on servers outside India, for example in the United States or Europe. When that happens we use reputable providers, take reasonable steps to keep your data protected, and don’t transfer it to any country the Government of India restricts.
8. How long we keep it
- Enquiries and audit requests: up to 24 months after our last contact, unless you become a client.
- Client records, contracts and invoices: for as long as we work together, and afterwards for as long as tax and accounting laws require.
- Website and ad measurement data: for the period set in each tool’s retention settings.
When we no longer need data, we delete it or make it anonymous.
9. Cookies and tracking
Cookies are small files your browser saves. We use them to keep the site working, count visits and see which ads bring people here. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and manage ad preferences in your Meta and Google account settings. The site still works if you block cookies.
10. Keeping your data safe
We use reasonable security practices: encrypted connections (HTTPS), access only for people who need it, and strong passwords with two-step login on our accounts. No system is completely secure. If a breach ever affects your data, we’ll tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
11. Your rights
You can ask us to:
- Show you a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it.
- Correct, complete or update it.
- Delete it, unless the law requires us to keep it.
- Stop using it, by withdrawing your consent.
- Let someone you nominate act for you if you can’t.
- Look into a complaint (a grievance).
Email your request to hi@makhanchormedia.com. We may ask you to confirm your identity first. We aim to respond within 30 days.
12. Children
This website and our services are for businesses and adults. We don’t knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you think a child has sent us their data, email us and we’ll delete it.
13. Links to other sites
Our site may link to other websites, such as client pages or social media. Their own privacy policies apply there.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the “Last updated” date at the top. For important changes, we’ll also show a notice on the site.
15. Grievance Officer
If you have a question or complaint about your personal data, contact our Grievance Officer:
We’ll acknowledge your complaint and work to resolve it quickly. If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can approach the Data Protection Board of India.
